The Rivian R1T adventure electric pickup truck was named 2022 MotorTrend Truck of the Year earlier this week. The electric vehicle received this prestigious Edmunds Editor’s Choice in the automated world, this week.
The R1T received an 8.4/10 rating from Edmunds in its review. Edmunds emphasized the truck’s spacious cabin, quick acceleration, and ease of driving. Rivian’s first vehicle to hit the market is the R1T, which will be followed by the R1S, an SUV version of the R1T.
“As you might imagine, the R1T is no ordinary pickup. For one, this all-electric machine has four motors, one for each wheel. And its performance specs are impressive. It’s built to tow as much as 11,000 pounds. And when it is empty, it can accelerate to 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds or cruise more than 300 miles on a full charge.” the Edmunds reviewer declared.
While the R1T took home the Editor’s Choice Award, Tesla’s Model 3 stole the show by winning the Edmunds Top EV of 2022 award.
